Cedar House Investments Scoop Regional Award

29th May 2009

Cedar House Investments, one of the region’s most proactive developers, has scooped the title of Property Company of the Year at the 2009 regional Estates Gazette Awards.

The Pride Park-based firm won the award for the East Midlands and now joins the seven other regional winners on the contender list for the National Property Adviser of the Year Award.

Awards for Property Adviser of the Year and Property Company of the Year were presented to winners across eight different regions. Cedar House Investments were presented with their accolade at an award ceremony held at Opus Restaurant in Birmingham in the presence of the region’s leading property professionals.

The winners were nominated by the Estates Gazette editorial team and voted for by Estates Gazette readers.

Now in its fifth year, the prestigious Estates Gazette awards bring together some of the most influential decision makers in the property community, including advisers, developers, planners, investors, owners, occupiers and the public sector. The editorial team compiled the regional list of companies and advisors in February and more than 4,000 votes were cast throughout March.

Voting for the ten national awards is now open until the end of June. The companies with the most votes in each category will make the final shortlist and the overall winners will be selected by a judging panel comprising of industry experts.

The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony, which is taking place in September at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

With a portfolio totalling more than £75 million, Cedar House Investments remains at the forefront of the property development industry and its diverse schemes have attracted many high profile businesses.

Commenting on the award, managing director Chris Carlisle said:

“Cedar House Investments has built its reputation on its ability to identify superior development opportunities and deliver striking, sustainable schemes and we are particularly delighted to have been recognised for our achievements with the title Property Company of the Year for the East Midlands during this challenging economic climate’.

“We look forward to battling it out with developers from across the UK for the national title in September,” added Chris.

Cedar House Investments’ development programme extends across the Midlands and includes high profile sites in Ashby, Rugby, Corby, Tamworth and Stoke-on-Trent, along with the redevelopment of the 35 acre former Nestlé site in Ashbourne.

The company is also transforming the five hectare former Bombardier bogie works on Pride Park in Derby in a £50 million mixed use development.
